Overview
After the expansion of gases in stage 1, the gases are controlled and directed onto the second stage through a set of stationary vanes that are present in the turbine nozzle. The nozzle helps direct the flow of combusted hot gases from the previous stage to the turbine blades and also acts as a control valve for the engine. During the travel of hot and high-pressure gases through the 2nd stage nozzle, gases expand with a change in their acceleration, pressure, and temperature that is required to drive the turbine blades.
Part number M250-10577 has been designed specifically to achieve optimum flow control while dissipating excess heat, ensuring the turbine achieves optimum operation conditions and efficiency. Made of super-alloys, the material gives the part its resistance to extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
