Overview
Retaining rings are among the tiniest parts of the assembly, yet they have a crucial function. They are critical to performance as they reduce vibration and account for wear or accumulated tolerances during assembly. Retaining rings are used to secure parts to pieces with rounded, smooth surfaces and grooves. Heat treatment is used to maintain the resilience of retaining rings. Creates an excellent tight hold to prevent components from deviating from their intended positions. Part number 1142902 also is provided with cadmium finish in order to enhance the rings natural resistance to the growth of mold and maintains the product free of rust.
