Overview
- Self-contained directional gyro and amplifier assembly that provides gyro-stabilized heading reference for compass system
- Also contains DC static inverter mounted in base assembly to provide AC inputs to the gyro synchronizer and other external system components
- Gyro, amplifier, and synchronizer assembly all contained in cylindrical housing
- Contains two heading transmmitters to provide 3-wire (ARINC) heading information to two separate units
- Electrically driven gyro
- Version available with flux valve control transformer incorporated to route output from flux valve (see table below)
- Similar to C-14A gyro but contains DC static inverter in base of unit
- Meets qualifications of TSO-C6c
